Meet The 5 Readers Who Win Prizes On Today’s Blog!

The word “home” conjures up a lot of different sentiments among ranchers. To some it’s spending time with the family. For others its working cattle, enjoying a sunset on the range, or sitting on the porch of the ranch house. All these were represented by readers who entered photos depicting what “home” means to them in the Greeley Hat Works’ “Home Is Where You Hang Your Hat” photo contest.

We received 75+ entries in the contest, which you can view here.

From there, we narrowed the photographs down to 15 finalists, which you can view here.

Then, we asked all of you to help us select our champions. We received a record number of votes with 430 of you weighing in with your favorites. Now, it’s time to announce our winners!

Congratulations to Marianne McCartney with “Bunkhouse Talk.” McCartney garnered the most votes among readers and will take home a Greeley Hat Works hat, valued at $300.

Reserve champion honors go to Marianne Easter with “Home Is Wherever I Am With You.” Easter also wins a hat, courtesy of our sponsor, Greeley Hat Works.

Honorable mention goes to “Home Is Where The Sun Rises Over Our Cattle,” submitted by Amber Stephens. Stephens, along with two voters we have randomly selected, will take home a coffee table book by the late David Stoecklein. Our two lucky voters are Kim Smith and Karen Trotter. Congrats!

Did your favorites take home the prize? Stay tuned for more information on another Greeley Hat Works contest starting in December! Thanks again to all the photographers and voting readers who participated!
