The daily spot Choice box beef cutout ended the week last Friday at $216.85 which was $1.50 higher compared to the previous Friday. It continued to increase on Monday which is normal as retailers reorder early in the week to refill shelves after a good weekend of sales. The daily Choice rib primal ended the week on Friday about $7 higher making it $17 higher in just two weeks. The loin primal was over $2 higher during the week. As previously mentioned, the big impact for the daily cutout prices are the fact that they provide base prices for many but not all formulas during the following week.
