Meat Market Update | Daily Box Beef Cutout sees substantial rally

Ed Czerwien, USDA Market News reporter in Amarillo, TX, provides us with the latest outlook on boxed beef prices and the weekly cattle trade.

This week's Daily Box Beef Cutout enjoyed a very substantial rally this past week that is continuing yet. The Daily Choice Cutout ended the week on Friday at $211.69 which was $8.69 higher and has increased even more since then.  The Comprehensive Choice Cutout which includes all types of sales including the Daily Cutout was $207.20, down only $0.31, but it is still a decline considering the big jump in the daily cutout.
