Economists are scratching their heads as we aren’t spending as much. The Wall Street Journal reports Americans reduced spending for groceries, furniture and cars. Many of us are saving our money.

A lawmaker in Ohio says high school students should be allowed to carry long guns inside high schools to protect themselves in schools. Gun-Free Zones don’t work, lawmaker says.

It’s the time of year many farm groups lobby. I’m sure I’ll see a number of farm organization members there next week.

Pizza can increase our on-the-job productivity. Workers were offered payoffs in form of pizza, compliment from the boss or $30. Pizza was the best motivator. Over the course the week, the compliments made a difference.
