Max Armstrong talks about transportation challenges. (audio)

We sure have had our share of transportation challenges this week. That Amtrak train in Washington was going 50 miles per hour over the speed limit. The most dangerous part of any trip I take is in the car enroute to train and airport.

Business closing and firings always seem so cruel in holiday season. A company in Blue Springs, Mo., shut down and gave employees 30 minutes to leave their offices. It was the Zillow of commercial real estate.

A couple of encouraging stories out of South America. Analyst said it’s been too hot and dry in Paraguay. Corn planting has been delayed in Brazil.

A state legislator in Michigan is pushing law to outlaw driver letting pet ride on your lap. Fine $100 for first offense, $200 if happens again.
