I want to hear about your favorite childhood memories on the farm. I'm looking for a brief essay or story about your life growing up in agriculture. If you didn't grow up in ag, tell me about your favorite camping trip where your family always grilled hamburgers at the lake or about a favorite restaurant your family always went to. Really, anything goes, as long as it's related to agriculture in some way. Judging will be based on topic relevance and creativity of story. The top two entries will receive a book titled, Brands of the West [5], by popular western photographer, David R. Stoecklein [6]. Here are the simple rules for entering...

1. One entry per applicant

2. Essays must be under 300 words. (This will keep your time at a desk writing to a minimum.)

3. Stories must be agriculture related

4. Send your entries to [email protected]

5. Don't forget to include a photo of yourself, along with your mailing address.
