A new University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) beef production emphasis-- the Nebraska Beef Industry Scholars program -- aims to give students the skills to be tomorrow's beef industry leaders. The animal science department-headquartered program will allow students of various majors a solid background in conception-to-consumption beef production, says Dennis Brink, UNL animal science professor. The emphasis, available to students entering UNL this fall, will delve into the science, technology, business and leadership education required for success in the industry.
