Allflex acquires Agrident

Allflex, part of the Antelliq Group, announced that it has acquired Germany-based Agrident, an agricultural technology company specializing in radio-frequency identification (RFID) data capture systems used in process control and animal management systems worldwide.

Agrident was established in 1997 and has grown to become a leading provider of RFID technology for the electronic animal identification market, Allflex said. Agrident's fixed and mobile reader technology offers advanced data capture features for management and traceability and has a worldwide reputation for excellence and superior performance, according to the announcement.

Agrident's team of engineers, with a track record in developing new readers and experience in electronic technologies like UHF, will further strengthen Allflex’s research and development capabilities and customer offering as a global leader in smart and intelligent identification and monitoring systems for the modern livestock industry, Allflex said.
