Extension agent takes exception to cheatgrass control article

I recently read an article on cheatgrass control authored by Heather Smith Thomas in the October 9 version of the BEEF (Cow-Calf Weekly). Her article outlines a new product for control of cheatgrass. She does a great job of selling this product based on some of the promotional information from the company trying to market it. We, Montana State University, have been involved in the research and have found that the product is not effective. There are four different studies that have the same finding and you can see this information at this link.

I am thinking that your publication would not want to be promoting a product that is not effective, our study shows that it would not be a good investment by your readers.
