There have been many fun photo contests on this blog over the years, featuring everything from calves, to kids, to cowgirls. But I must say, I think the BEEF Daily “Ranch Sweetheart” photo contest has been my favorite. With more than 120 entries, we narrowed the photographs down to 15 finalists. Close to 240 readers weighed in, and today, I will announce our winners.

Congratulations to our grand champion photographer, Melinda Baker, with “Grace.” Baker will receive a gift certificate to purchase a pair of Roper boots.

Also, congratulations to our reserve champion photographer, Marty Stingley, with “Strength Is Beauty.” Stingley wins a $75 gift certificate to Cowgirl Crush.

Honorable mentions awards go to Calli Pritchard with “Pup,” and Shelby Shaw by “Shelby Shaw.” They will each receive a limited edition western art print.

As promised, three voters were selected at random to win a copy of my children’s book, “Levi’s Lost Calf.” Winners included Jacque Proffit, Ben Stout and Adele Bartholomew.

Thanks to everyone who sent in photographs or voted in the contest. I appreciate your participation!

And, just for fun, help us pick our theme for our next photography contest, which will be held later this summer. If we choose your idea, you will win a copy of “Levi’s Lost Calf.” Good luck!
