Where's The Beef, Kim Kardashian And Bill Clinton?

There’s no doubt about it. Celebrities and politicians are closely watched by American society. Who they date, which designer they wear and even what they eat are topics of conversation around the water cooler. In the news lately is Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries, dubbed the U.S. version of the royal wedding. And, Bill Clinton also made headlines this week with an announcement that he is now a vegan!

According to the Miami News, “Kim Kardashian and her fiancé, Kris Humphries married this past weekend at a Montecito, CA, estate in front of 450 friends and relatives. The reception, which was catered by Wolfgang Puck, left us wondering where all the money went. Well, yes, there was the 6-ft.-tall cake, designed by Hansen Cakes in Los Angeles to the tune of $15,000 to $20,000, but when we got our reception menu, we were, frankly, baffled. Hello? Where’s the beef? Just chicken as an entrée? Even during our last transatlantic flight in coach, we got a choice of beef or chicken. If Wolfgang Puck can’t do better than this, we’ll have to switch our party caterer to American Airlines.”

The Kardashian family raked in millions of dollars from this wedding, so I'm surprised they couldn't have splurged for beef tenderloin or prime rib. Chicken just doesn't scream elegant and indulgent to me. How about you? Read more about the wedding and view a video here.

Then, of course, there is one of America’s most scandalous presidents, Bill Clinton. According to Delish Food News, “Last week, former Pres. Bill Clinton, once known for his love of barbecue, burgers and baked goods, told CNN’s medical correspondent, Sanjay Gupta, that he’s essentially become a vegan. The change, he said, was a gradual, two-decade process of turning around his eating habits to improve his health. And, so Clinton made intensive changes –- he says he has stopped eating meat, dairy and eggs, and has almost cut out oil. He had a single bite of turkey last Thanksgiving.”

Thankfully, there are some celebrities who never forget the beef. Take Ree Drummond, for example.
