Youth Leader Talks About Raising Cattle, Going Green

kelsey-reppening.jpg Last week, I wrote about a cattle show I attended with my family. While I was there, I caught up with a rising star in the beef industry, Kelsey Repenning, daughter of Steve and Lori Repenning of Black Top Farms. Kelsey is actively involved in 4-H, FFA and raising beef cattle, and I think she will be one to watch down the road. Do you know a young person with a positive story? Share it in the comments section below. I would love to feature them down the road.

Repenning is a sophomore at Mitchell High School, and she keeps busy in her many activities, but her one true passion is the beef cattle industry. You can listen to my interview with Repenning below, where we discuss everything from showing cattle, to life lessons on the farm, to going green, to her goals in embryology and animal science. Best of luck, Kelsey, in all of your future endeavors.
