North Korea has submitted a detailed report on the country's outbreak of foot-and-mouth (FMD) disease to the World Organization for Animal Health.
The Paris-based organization posted the report filed last week on its website, in which the North claims there have been 48 outbreaks after the first case involving six infected cattle in Pyeongyang on Christmas Day.
And so far over 9,900 pigs, 500 cows and 165 goats have been confirmed infected, while a total of 8,640 pigs and 15 cows have died from the disease.
FMD reports have covered much of the country.
