Renowned livestock economist and meat marketing expert Steve Meyer, founder and president of Paragon Economics, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Meat and Poultry Research Conference (MPRC), Nov. 1-2 in Kansas City, MO.
Meyer will provide a comprehensive look at the state of the meat and poultry industry, address current economic trends and offer his economic forecast for the industry. Meyer is perhaps best known as the lead author of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s Daily Livestock Report and a contributor to National Hog Farmer magazine’s weekly e-letter, North American Preview.
Meyer’s professional career includes positions in sales, sales management, business development and academia. Prior to founding Paragon Economics, he served as director of economics for the National Pork Producers Council and National Pork Board from 1993 to 2002.
