USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack recently appeared on RFD-TV to discuss the importance of producing renewable energy at home and reducing America’s dependence on imported oil.

Vilsack highlighted the role of farmers, ranchers and rural businesses in building a more secure, sustainable energy supply and the economic and job creation opportunities for America’s small towns and communities.

Vilsack received questions from the national television audience and from special guests comprising rural youth, including FFA and 4-H members.
