Today we wrap up our “Best Ranch Hands” photography contest.

It was a fun month as we honored our hard-working employees, kids, cattle dogs and horses — all who help us tackle tough jobs and keep the ranch running smoothly.

We received more than 90 stunning images celebrating our best ranch hands and narrowed them down to 15 finalists.

I want to once again congratulate our finalists — Candace Cope, Michael Hill, Lacey Namken, Deborah Creighton, Misty Giles, Lacee Sims, Rebecca Lee, Koy Holland, Kristy Rogers, Koli Rossi, Lisa Kubik, Alex Carone and Hayley Moss. This was truly an amazing collection of images that really captured the spirit of this contest theme.

Once our finalists were selected, we asked our readers to help us choose our champions. We appreciate everyone who took the time to vote every single day for their favorites, and as a thank you, we have selected three voters who will receive a pair of Durango boot socks. Congratulations to Melanie Jones, Jennifer Carrico and Buster Strauser.

Our contest sponsor, Durango, is awarding a pair of Durango boots to our grand champion winner. Congratulations to Kristy Maley with her photograph, “The Hitchin’ Post.”

Our reserve champion photographer will receive a $50 VISA gift card from BEEF. Earning this spot is Misty Giles with her photograph “Kids Working Calves.”

The entire BEEF team hopes you enjoy these contests as much as we do. It’s so much fun to view photographs from ranches across the country. It’s through these images that we can see the different production methods of various regions, and it’s also a great reminder how much we all have in common in this industry.
