From this week in agribusiness, Census of Agriculture notices have been arriving in mailboxes. The census began in 1840 and is conducted every five years. The Ag Statistics Service started mailing earlier this month. The envelope with survey makes it clear response is required.
Dog attacks are problem and it hit close to home yesterday when a couple of the neighbors’ dogs mauled a dog that was visiting our place invited. We’re fortunate our two dogs weren’t hurt.
In Alabama, for second time in two weeks a person was injured in a dog attack.
At Michigan City, Indiana, 12-year-old is on way to recovery after horrific dog attack last month. She’s had 5 surgeries and will need more. Officer is being honored for bravery as he intervened. Officer grabbed dog so girl could get away. Dog has been euthanized. County prosecutor considering what to do with dog’s owner.
