Human ingenuity and resourcefulness have produced a tremendous record of beef production efficiency in the past 50 years. For instance, the U.S. beef industry produces as much beef today as it did 50 years ago, but with 25 million fewer cows. That efficiency also translates into dramatic positive impacts on land, water, fuel, carbon and other resources.
