Max Armstrong is joined by Mike Adams this week and the start of with a farm bill discussion where some actual progress was made this week. Dale Durchholz of Agrivisor talks with Max and Mike about the recent downturn in corn prices.

Part 2

Dale Durchholz of Agrivisor rejoins Max and Mike and they Chinese trade talks and other situations affecting soybeans. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment looks at planter equipment management post-planting. Agricultural Meteorologist John Boyle, in for vacationing Greg Soulje, looks at weather for the Western United States. The segment ends with BASF “Plan Smart, Grow Smart.”

Max reports from the World Pork Expo where he gets the low-down on new hog antibiotics standards and managing gut health for the herd. Chad Colby rejoins the team to talk about automation technology via apps.

Max and Mike return to discuss the progress made this week on the farm bill with American Farm Bureau Federation’s Zippy Duvall. Agricultural Meteorologist John Boyle looks at weather for the Eastern United States. In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1955 Farmall 400 owned by Lyle Warner of Ashton, Ill.

Orion Samuelson is ready for county and state fair season in Samuelson Sez and has advice for exhibitors and visitors. John Boyle offers his look at the weather for the week ahead.

Jamie Johansen reports from a livestock operation run by two young entrepreneurs just 30 miles from downtown St. Louis, Mo. That location helps them market their product.
