Max Armstrong shares insight on the commodity based checkoff programs at work in the U.S.

Max Armstrong looks at the producer funded checkoff programs and how they work to promote products, develop new markets and new uses for products. Max explains how USDA monitors these checkoff boards that can show a return on investment as high as $18 for every $1 invested. He adds that there are 19 of these checkoff programs from cotton to eggs and the boards for these groups are made up of farmers.

Max Armstrong Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
