Max Armstrong offers more history of the American Soybean Assciation, celebrating its 100th anniversary

Max Armstrong continues his look at the beginnings of the American Soybean Association. Today, the association will be at the Fouts Farm in Indiana, where the group got its start. By the 1930s the group had started working on exports for what was then a new crop. Max offers more history on the growing market for this crop including early contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade, and the first executive director for the group – a young Iowa soybean grower.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
