Farm Progress America, August 9, 2022

Max Armstrong offers a look back on a farm visit where a president got some tractor cab time.

Max Armstrong shares the story of a unique tractor owned by a west central Illinois farmer – John Werries. The unique old tractor has a lot of history and has drawn interest from Europe, Asia and U.S. farmers. It was in October 1982 when President Reagan visited the farm and climbed up in the cab with Werries to drive the 8630 John Deere tractor. Max notes that recently Werries pulled that tractor out, cleaned it up and took it for a ride, bringing back good memories.
