Max Armstrong offers news about one farmer who had to take on USDA over land he bought

Max Armstrong shares the story of Charles Hood, who has had significant issues with USDA. He bought 30 acres near his farm in Virginia. He worked with a retired soil scientist, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service to rehabilitate the property working in compliance with USDA rules. He planted soybeans on the land, improved it to make it productive. And then he was told he was illegally farming a wetland and NRCS wanted him to return money he'd received from farm programs.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
