Max Armstrong looks at Sen. Bob Dole's legacy in food security both here and abroad

Max Armstrong shares some insights about Bob Dole who passed last over the weekend. Max shares insight on Dole's role in food and agriculture policy including his work on the development of the food stamp program. It was Dole who knew that many representatives in Congress had little farm background, but he was able to merge farm programs and food stamps with a significant bipartisan effort. It started with the 1977 Farm Bill.
