Farm Progress America, February 3, 2020

Max Armstrong talks about the coronavirus and the possibilities zoonotic diseases offer.

We're hearing more and more updates about the coronavirus. However, researchers say we're missing the opportunity to act before the disease reaches people. We should be looking at animals instead of people, as the disease is zoonotic and can be transferred from animals to humans. If we can identify the threats, authorities can take better action with animals and offer better awareness campaigns to people.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
