Max Armstrong reports on the arrival of more pandemic relief, which is getting to more small farms. There is a new rule authorizing loans to farms that didn't qualify before. One change that benefitted small farmers and ranchers allowed those without paid employees even if they didn't earn a profit. One factor that helps is that bankers in those communities have personal relationships with borrowers, which has facilitated delivery of those Paycheck Protection Program loans.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
