Max Armstrong talks pollination, the California almond crop and beehive thieves

Max Armstrong talks about pollinators, and shares what may be happening in California this winter. The bees that pollinate almond crops can be more valuable as contract pollination workers than as honey producers. The Central Valley of California becomes a focus of bees from across the country to get work done in more than 1.1 million acres of almonds. Max shares that those hives are so valuable that they're being stolen.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
