Max Armstrong reports from a respected dairy economist that the future price of prices is cloudy. The challenge is the rapid increase in production, but Bob Cropp, University of Wisconsin ag economist, says rising feed prices could crimp that production. Cropp says if production continues to rise that could reduce the price farmers receive. However, if the economy returns more to normal, food service sales could be a bright spot for the dairy industry.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
