Max Armstrong reports on demand and supply issues impact both the poultry and seafood markets.

Max Armstrong continues his discussion about food inflation looking at chicken and seafood. The price of chicken breasts has risen to heights not seen since the 1980s thanks to avian influenza which has hit more than 21 million commercial herds including commercial broilers. And exports of chicken aren’t slowing, putting more price pressure on chicken. And demand for seafood has been rising considerably, pushing those products to the No. 1 position as the most globally traded animal protein.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
