Max Armstrong looks at the damage caused to farm crops when Fiona hit Puerto Rico.

September 26, 2022

Max Armstrong reports on the work being done by farmers in the path of hurricanes heading to the U.S. Farmers in Puerto Rico were unable to avoid trouble with the plantain crop taking a beating when Fiona roared through the country. The good news is that some trees were simply bent sideways, which could allow them to be harvested if they can get into the fields. However, the storm hit crops planted as part of a diversification project initiated after Hurricane Maria. And Max shares another problem Puerto Rican farmers face.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
