As train derailments go, the one in northeast Nebraska was fairly minor. Nine cars slipped off the track, spilling corn into a farm field.

Federal regulators want to the CME Group to broaden regulations against spoofing in the commodity markets. The CFTC has asked for increasing focus on spoofing that was first included in the Dodd-Frank law, which will likely be pared back in Washington, D.C.

Some residents in Nashville want to rename a city park for Eric Mumaw, a city police officer was was dragged into the Cumberland River in an attempt to save a suicidal woman. Mumaw died in the incident. The park is known as E.N. Peeler Park for the farmer who formerly owned the land. 

The Louisville farm show is Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, Feb. 18. Max will be there with caps to sign and hopes to see you there.
