Steve Alexander fills in for Max Armstrong, who is in Washington, DC, for National Agriculture Week Festivities.

Agriculture is too often a deadly occupation. 42-year-old Jacob Fruchey was drilling holes in the ground near a sheep barn to relieve flooding from melting snow when his clothes became entangled in the powerful auger. He died at the scene.

Flags on Illinois state buildings will be at half-staff in honor of McHenry County sheriff’s deputy Jacob Keltner killed in a Rockford hotel shooting. He is survived by his wife and two young sons.

Have you ever been watching a movie at home and decide you want to act out part of the film? Two were watching movie, drinking and taking other things when boyfriend suggested they act out the movie. He was shot. No word yet on what movie they were watching.
