Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson start off with a report from the USDA Agricultural Outlook forum by Patrick Haggerty. Max is also out in the field with a look at winter weather with BASF’s Melanie Burk. Jim McCormick of AgMarket.net talks with Max and Orion about international trade.

Part 2

Jim McCormick of AgMarket.net rejoins Max and Orion to turn towards marketing strategy for producers. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad is visiting the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California to hear about new nut harvest technology. Max and Orion hear from April Hemmes, director of the United Soybean Board who praises the value of sampling your soybeans.

Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson introduce a report from Steve Bridge who is in Washington, D.C. trying to get solid answers about the trade deal with China from Deputy Secretary of Ag, Steve Censky. Pollinators are on Chad Colby’s mind, he reports again from California on the almond bloom.

Max Armstrong spent time at the Louisville Farm Show checking out Kubota’s exhibit. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje give us the agriculture weather forecast for the week ahead.

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1958 John Deere 620 owned by Steve and Teresa Washburn of Tekonsha, Michigan that he refurbished for the Mackinac Bridge ride. Orion Samuelson profiles Yale FFA in Yale, Oklahoma, hometown of Jim Thorpe. Member Kascen Humble who shares his pride in showing cattle. In Samuelson Sez, Orion is concerned about crop insurance even after the 2018 Farm Bill was passed and needs approval in the budget.

Orion Samuelson introduces 2019 National Outstanding Young Farmers of the Year Brandon and Jessica Batten, part of the 2019 class from North Carolina.
