Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson talk about World Dairy Expo and a lot of rain when farmers don’t really need it.

Max Armstrong and Orion Samuelson kick off the show with a chat with Greg Soulje as they look at rains and drought in the Midwest. Orion reports from World Dairy Expo where the show rolls on in spite of tough times. Brian Splitt, AgMarket.Net joins Max and Orion to talk about the upcoming Thursday USDA crop report.

Part 2

Brian Splitt, AgMarket.Net rejoins Max and Orion to talk about the soybean crop’s race to harvest, China’s hog population destruction. Chad Colby in the Colby Ag Tech segment reports on harvest from a farmer using 15” corn.  Al Gustin is reporting from North Dakota on trouble with the wheat crop.

Part 3

Max and Orion hear again from Chad Colby reporting Tonaca, Illinois on a ride in a floating truck managing fertilizer application. Max introduces a report from the Half Century of Progress show using antique plowing equipment, talking with Bob Off, plowing coordinator for the show.

Part 4

Max interviews Sec. of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to talk about farm income and trade. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins Max and Orion to look at the forecast for the week ahead.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1952 Farmall Super M owned by Nate Nieman or Freeport, Illinois. This tractor is multi-generational.  Orion Samuelson profiles Detroit Lakes, Minn FFA, which serves its community in a variety of ways. Member Phoenix McDougall talks about their farm to table meal serving their local homeless community. In Samuelson Sez, Orion is observing National 4-H Week.

Part 7

In the Best of the Farm Progress Show, we hear from Pete Uitenbroek, Dekalb Asgrow, Brand Marketing Lead about the latest from the company. He brought along Clint Bowyer, NASCAR driver, who challenges other driver to a corn yield contest.
