Much of Northern Mexico has experienced drought similar to what cattlemen in the Southern Plains and Southwest have endured. And just as in the U.S., Mexican cattlemen have liquidated herds significantly. Andres Piedra, chief economist with CNOG, the Mexican Cattlemen's Association, explains the impact of the drought on Mexico's cattle industry.
