The U.S. regained its status as world’s largest beef exporter last year, and the future looks bright with the promise of more growth as a result of further liberalization of markets in Japan and Taiwan to U.S. beef. Erin Borror, an economist with the U.S. Meat Export Federation, explains the current dynamics affecting beef exports and looks ahead to 2013 and 2014, where she sees continued worldwide demand growth for U.S. beef.
