Agriculture Department to Hold Livestock Biosecurity, Emergency Planning Meetings

The Missouri Department of Agriculture is hosting a livestock producer biosecurity planning meeting in Barton and Jasper counties and an animal agriculture emergency planning and response meeting in Dade and Greene counties next week, according to a news release from the University of Missouri Extension office.

All livestock producers and others involved with Missouri agriculture are being encouraged to attend.

Meetings will be held at the following times and locations:

Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Barton County Emergency Management Office, 1100 Cherry, Lamar.

Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Granny Schaffer’s Restaurant, 2728 N. Rangeline Road, Joplin.

Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Greene County Emergency Management Media Center, 833 N. Boonville, Springfield.

Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Arcola Community Building, Missouri 39 and First Streets, Arcola.
