You might think you couldn’t invent a better mousetrap when it comes to livestock handling and feed preparation and delivery for livestock. Surely there are only so many ways to handle livestock and to grind or prepare feed. Yet companies focused on livestock producers continue to prove those theories false every year.
This year is no exception. There are several new products unveiled at recent farm shows that cater specifically to livestock producers. They either make preparing feed, delivering feed to the animal or handling the animal more efficient, safer or just plain do it better than products already on the market.
The offering editors uncovered at farm shows includes a hay feeder for cattle from Behlen Country and a sheep feeder from Apache Industries. There’s also new feed grinders included in the mix of products.
One major need for cattlemen is safe, efficient ways to handle cattle when it’s time to process calves or perform other tasks that involve handling individual animals. Companies continue to recognize the need and introduce new products to stand alongside those already on the market as possible choices to help you accomplish these tasks. Both Pearson and Moly Manufacturing exhibited new corral holding areas and working facilities at recent shows. Since they were displayed at a show along with existing products from other companies, it made it easy to make comparisons between features of various choices on the market.
