How’s the fall bull sale season shaping up? Part 2
BEEF asked members of the Seedstock 100 for their take on the fall bull sale season. Here’s what they had to say.
October 7, 2020
There will be plenty of bulls available this fall, but how you buy them is changing. Private treaty sales have always been part of the mix, and there’s nothing quite like a live auction for fun, excitement and the camaraderie of seeing old friends and making new ones.
But thanks to the pandemic, private treaty and live auction events have adapted. Some genetics suppliers still hold live sales, but a packed crowd is a thing of the past. Internet, video and other ways of evaluating and bidding on your next set of bulls have come to the fore and will likely remain a big part of the action as time moves on.
Here's the second installment of BEEF’s survey of genetics suppliers answering the question of how they have adapted to selling bulls in 2020 and beyond.
