Max Armstrong talks about harvest and reported yields, farm safety and the toll hurricane Florence took on agriculture, but beware of erroneous reporting.
September 18, 2018
It's a busy harvest week across the heartland of America. Some farmers will see disappointing yields, like in places of Missouri where drought took a toll. Others are justifying the USDA numbers from last week.
It's national farm safety week, so remember to be aware of the farm vehicles on the road, from trucks to combines. If your county puts up signs warning to watch for farm vehicles, snap a pic and email to Max.
The agriculture toll from hurricane Florence won't be known for days or weeks to come. There has been some erroneous reporting lately.
