Along Interstate 29, not far from Missouri River is town of Elk Point. It is here where Pink Slime trial is getting underway. Lawyers will argue that ABC News defamed BPI. BPI wants $5.7 billion.
The first of many lawsuits against Syngenta, brought by four Kansas farmers, is getting underway. Suit claims Syngenta introduced seed to market before approved for export. Resulted in price drops that hurt all producers. Syngenta denied its actions caused price drops for farmers.
Max is heading out to World Pork Expo later this week. 23,000 attended last year. An estimated 10,000 sandwiches served from Big Grill.
