In the past 17 years, it has become more dangerous to have a baby in rural America. Pregnancy related complications are rising across the United States. In many cases, time away from hospitals prepared to handle those are further away. 

My email was jammed from farmers in disbelief of USDA crop report yesterday. Farmers with poor crops were especially stunned.
