There's a controversy in North Dakota over where the geographic center of North America is. Since 1931, the town of Rugby has claimed the title. Nearby Robinson, population 40, says it's the center. A geography professor at the University of Buffalo says that by his calculations the geographic center of North America is the town of Center, N.D., population 570.

As for the Dakota Access pipeline, an attorney for the company building it says oil could be flowing in a month.

Parts of Wisconsin don't have broadband and a group of lawmakers are pushing a bill that would spend $15.5 million to serve underserved rural areas. Around 40% of rural Wisconsin residents don't have high-speed internet access at home.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner wants to add state troopers to combat Chicago gang violence that is spilling out onto area expressways.

Hooters is opening a test restaurant in Illinois that does not feature waitresses wearing tight tops and skimpy shorts. Guess they will find out pretty quickly if people like Hooters for the food.
