The harvest of this year’s corn crop has been slowed by wet weather. Average pace is about 38%, expect at 30%. Minnesota soybean farmers have been especially impacted. Year ago this week soybeans were 44% harvested, expected to be less than 40% when crop report comes out this afternoon.
Ryder, S.D., population 84. Of the 84 about 60 took free riding lessons offered by Harley Davidson. Town changed name to Riders for a while this summer. Harley officials said the campaign went so well, it may be replicated in Freedom or Independence.
