Seven beef operations were recently presented Cattle Businesses of the Century Awards for their role in the cattle industry.
A one-time event, the Cattle Businesses of the Century award is designed to recognize those operations that have made their mark on the cattle industry in the last 100 years, according to Nicky Henderson, assistant director for the National Cattlemen's Foundation (NCF). The presentations were made at the Cattle Industry Centennial Convention and Trade Show in Denver, CO, in early February.
The awards are in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of a national cattlemen's organization. The award program was sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, Inc. and administered by NCF.
Cattle businesses that demonstrated legacies of leadership, innovation in production and steadfast dedication to industry progress were recognized. Businesses were selected by an anonymous panel of industry leaders.
