A group of 40 northeast Michigan producers have allied to explore new marketing opportunities, increase profits and educate members. The new group is called the North Country Beef Producers Cooperative (NCBPC), and the members aim to strengthen their business skills by educating themselves on vaccination protocols, animal health and nutrition, genetics and management practices for cow-calf producers, as well as backgrounders and feeders.
