It's my pleasure this month to welcome Burt Rutherford, a 25-year, beef industry communications veteran, as BEEF magazine's Senior Editor. Burt will headquarter out of Amarillo, TX and handle the magazine's coverage of the U.S. cattle feeding industry, as well as cover the general industry for our 100,000 monthly readers. A Colorado native and graduate of Colorado State University, Burt has served for the past 21 years as communications director for the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.
He replaces Clint Peck, who resigned to direct the Beef Quality Assurance effort of the Montana Beef Network, Montana State University. Clint, whose five years with BEEF were nothing short of stellar, will continue to contribute to BEEF magazine's industry coverage on a regular basis, however.
