Cowboy Christmas contest deadline extended!
December 17, 2015
With only eight days remaining until Christmas Day, our house is excited to gather with family and friends, eat prime rib and all of the fixings, open gifts from Santa, and of course, celebrate the real reason of the season at Christmas mass.
During December, BEEF has been celebrating the season as well, with a “Cowboy Christmas” photo contest. Although we are low in the number of entries, the quality is beyond amazing in the photographs submitted so far. Here are a few of my favorites:
There’s Corban, the baby cowboy, who is two months old and will be celebrating his first Christmas this year with his parents, Ben and Lauren Neale. How cute is he?

Then, there’s this beautiful image from Jodi Weber depicting a quiet winter scene on the ranch.

Finally, I love this image by Cristen Roghair of Okaton, S.D., titled, “Cowboy Christmas.” The Christmas garland really pops against the subdued black and white of the saddle and rope.

Of course, there are many other beautiful photographs, and you can view the entire collection here.
There's still time to enter the contest! Because I’m enjoying these holiday-themed photos so much, I’m extending the deadline to enter until noon on Monday, Dec. 21. Finalists will be announced on Dec. 22, and voting will be extended until Dec. 30.
If you’re needing inspiration, we are looking for photographs of Christmas scenes on the ranch, wintry cattle images, snow-covered barns, or anything that depicts what winter is like on a cattle ranch.
To enter, please submit your image, along with a caption or title, your name and hometown, to [email protected] to be eligible to win a $300 voucher for a Greeley Hat Works hat. Thanks so much to everyone who has participated so far, and I look forward to seeing more entries come in over the weekend.
