Over the weekend, I hope you remembered to celebrate your dad. Father’s Day was Sunday, and for our family, it was another holiday spent in the hayfield. We enjoyed lunch sitting on the tailgate of the pickup and thanked our dad for everything he’s done for us by helping him put up hay for winter. Later, we celebrated my husband’s first Father’s Day fishing on the lake.

Although the holiday is behind us, I thought you might still enjoy these four links including blogs, recipes and photographs that pay tribute to the cowboys and cattlemen we love.

Check out this gallery of cowboys and cattlemen doing what they do best — working on the ranch, tending to livestock and being stewards of the land.

2. “Our favorite farm dad photos” by Holly Spangler for Farm Progress

Spangler writes, “So it was that earlier this month, I asked readers to share their favorite farm dad photos, and did you ever. Photos have come in from every generation, in every size and shape and format, and I've loved them all. I've especially loved the stories and "dad advice" that's come in. So without further ado, here are the farm dads and kids and advice that represent the very best of American agriculture! Here's a look at the dads who shape each generation.”

3. “Americans say steak is the perfect meal for Father’s Day” by American Meat Institute (AMI) for BEEF

According to AMI, “Grilled steak and barbecue ribs are the sure-fire winners for a perfect meal for dad. More than four in 10 (42%) Americans chose steak and 14% chose barbecue ribs as the best dishes for dad on Father’s Day.”

4. “6 Father’s Day beef recipes dads will love” featured on Beef It’s What’s For Dinner

An excerpt on the recipe reads, “It’s a fact. Dads love steak.
