Feeder cattle numbers at the auctions continued to drop lower on the heels of lower prices with only 21,600 head at the test auctions. Prices were mostly $3-8 lower, but the lowest prices were set early in the week then firmed up a little on Wednesday.
Slaughter cow numbers dropped lower with 4,400 head at the test auctions which was down about 2000 head compared to the previous week. Cow prices were $8-11 lower again this week; they have dropped about $20 lower in the last two weeks.
